As soon as England has an even mildly warm day in the spring the beach at Bournemouth is filled with scantily clad teenagers and sprawling families, I popped down on Saturday for a road trip to visit friends and took a few pictures along the way. Almost every beach town in the UK has a vaguely tacky seafront with grubby fish and chip shops giving way to seedy amusement arcades and pubs, Bournemouth is no exception and the worn wooden huts and signage make you wonder when this place was ever brand new.. but all of this can only add to the charm of a trip down to the seaside; the sunburn, the icecream, the abstract gambling for kids.. its all so English..
